Ordú, an enterprise-level cloud platform designed for scale and performance, has partnered with international POS hardware solutions provider Star Micronics to deliver a fully integrated suite of products for QSRs with multiple locations and advanced SKU menu management. Offering a full range of digital ordering tools, Ordú allows businesses to cost effectively and seamlessly integrate a comprehensive, feature-rich solution.
Designed to work with a diverse product range, the flexible platform enables a high level of customisation to suit individual businesses, allowing restaurants to better meet customer requirements, thereby increasing sales and fuelling customer loyalty. Its easy store setup caters for specific menus, order, delivery and payment options for each store alongside a system design and UI that facilitates brief and effective onboarding for customers, staff and management.
Ordú’s online ordering, mobile apps and back-end system integration can be simply connected to a POS system’s API in a restaurant and almost any new feature can be added and integrated, allowing for improved efficiency, deliverability and profitability.
In terms of POS printing, the Star mCP31CI receipt and order printer has been selected by Ordú for its wealth of features and superior connectivity. Ideal for tablet and Cloud POS applications, the mC-Print3 series is synonymous with innovative design alongside seamless integration. Printing at up to 400mm per second, the mCP31CI can handle high volume transactions and flat receipts are ensured thanks to Star’s print flat technology. For hospitality, an easy-to-clean IP22 rated splash, insect and debris proof design make the model ideal for front-of-house receipting as well as bar and kitchen order printing.
Brevato, a major coffee store in Ireland, has successfully deployed the mCP31 with a tablet in the kitchen to receive and print orders. The printers connect via Star’s Ultra-C USB-C interface with an Android tablet located on the Star mUnite EZ3 stand, offering a sturdy yet easy-to-move tablet display that is free-standing and weighted to maintain stability.
Front-of-house, the mCP31 is installed in self-service kiosks which are currently taking a significant number of orders in the store. The compact, front-loading design of the mCP31 provides an easy to install and efficient packaged kiosk printing solution.
As Andrew Dewdney, Founder & CEO, Ordú comments: “We have found the Star mCP31 to be both versatile and reliable as it provides a stable connection with the tablet in the kitchen ensuring continuous customer service, and it has proved to be an ideal kiosk printing solution front-of-house. In terms of integration, the excellent single Star SDK allowed Ordú to integrate the mCP31 with ease whilst it offers the opportunity for additional Star printers such as a labelling solution to be simply integrated in the future. Finally, we cannot fault the technical support we have received from Star which has been second to none.”
