"Well, traditions of my family are quite general, its a table rich of contrasts in dishes, list of movies, which have to be re-watched in last week or two of each year. However, I have one very specific tradition for last 8 years. Since I moved to Slovenia, for the new year I also celebrate anniversaries of friendship with one of my schoolmates, which helped me to bring new year tree 8 years ago, when I was very new to the country and had no idea where you get the tree. Family of that friend has own forestry in Slovenia, where they take care of and actually cultivate these trees and every year we (me, that friend and his grandfather) go and search for that tree, which is very authentic way of bringing Christmas vibe in the house. Then I bring gif of my friend and his family to my family, we set it up, decorate and celebrate that friendship of our families. This tradition remains unchanged for all 8 years and I hope we will be able to continue with that :)"

"I spent most of my years in the USA so when I moved back there were a bunch of things my family didn't do. Sweet Potato Pie - Sweet potato, cinnamon, nutmeg, butter, sugar baked until relatively dry and then topped with…. Marshmallows under the grill. It started as a small tradition to have this on Christmas Day but now my whole family, extended family and friends all put in their orders to have me make them their sweet potato pie."
Charles
"My Christmas family tradition Involves an expedition Into the attic we must climb Fighting all the dirt and grime To bring down the Christmas tree Release it from its bag it’s free We get the tinsel ,baubles and lights Arrange them on the tree just right We do it together as a family The one thing we do happily Last on the tree is our Christmas fairy Drink is flowing and feeling merry Carols go on and singing is loud As we stand back and all feel proud."

"In the CIP office we started a new tradition this year of an office advent calendar. We all drew a number and had to buy a gift for that date, to the value of £5. We spin the wheel each day as to who will be opening the gift! From chocolates to Nerf Guns, there is an excitement as to what gift maybe yours!"

"My mums a foster carer and has been for 14 years, our favourite tradition is every Christmas eve sneaking around bringing all the children's present out of hiding and placing them under the tree (whilst nibbling on snacks like crackers and cheese) For many this will have been their first ever experience of a safe, warm, and present filled Christmas and it honestly is the best feeling on earth when you hear them sneaking down early hours of the morning filled with excitement that Santa actually came this year!"

"Decorating the yard. Since I was a little 4 year old boy almost 70 years ago, we've decorated the yard. When I got out on my own, I kept up the tradition. Each year I would add one new item to the yard ensemble. Today, I have one area that is religious, one area that is the north pole and one are that is family. When we get together to open presents, a lot of families hand out all the presents and then everyone tears into them. We don't we open them one at a time. This way we can give each other a friendly hard time. It is great fun."

"My favorite holiday tradition especially Christmas Holiday is, we as a family used to gather in the morning of 24th to prepare and cook food for our Noche Buena (Christmas Evening Dinner). Most of the members of the family were not staying at our parents' house, so we have to make sure everybody will be present at the very morning before Christmas Eve. Cooking a lot of traditional holiday dishes, preparing tables, picture takings, gift givings, games, these are what usually happen in the morning. And then at the evening, at a long table, the whole family will be having prayer, thanking the Lord for another Christmas to celebrate with the whole family, happily eating dinner right next to each other, chatting about how's life and what are the plans we'll be having the following day, places/houses to visit and all. Christmas is the best holiday for us, this is the only holiday where we get to see everyone in the family all at once, just like a reunion."

"Counting restaurants and takeaways without Star Mictonics Printers, mpop set ups. There's no Christmas Joy on a restaurant that forgets how festive this is to use Star products."
